So, here’s a quick look at how the character’s are developing. These are completely painted in Photoshop CS5 . I am in a hurry and am just quick pressing. More, shot’s tomorrow for the rest.

1> This one is in a development phase – I where shading and various design changes are made in grayscale during the process. A video of this process is posted below. Be sure to check it out.

2> Cool, this one is also in development phase – II where shading is already done and decisions are taken to ensure to get to a higher level so as to put some colour down on the canvas.A number of various changes can be done during these phase too, using hues to better suite the look, depending on various factors.I had not recorded a video for this one, because it was slowing down my process as well as giving me a bit of distraction. I will see to that in the future to record one during this phase for instance.

So, here is a video process of the character’s that were created from a single sketch.

Only a single sketch was created and 3 character’s were born from the single one. As, the video is much faster as YouTube doesn’t allow us to put HD Videos no more than 15 mins , I had trim it down to what I could. Be sure to take a look.

Ok, enough bla , bla n bla stuff..I will post some sketches in this post as well as some of the following, well I have a lot of sketches but I am too lazy to just scan and post them. The human skull is one of a complex part of the complete human body and so are the muscles placed above it wrapping around the skull to give form to the human face. I had been lately busy studying each and every muscles that form the whole human face. So,it was a nice opportunity to polish my sculpting skills as well as understanding the flow of muscles and the whole form. Studying anatomy is as important for any artist who want to draw,paint or sculpt the form of human body. So, the time spent in studying anatomy was not at all a waste but a real advantage for me , I really learned many things and most importantly learned a great deal of form and how to represent it in virtual 3d space or real life scenario. Studying anatomy has really changed my view of perspective , which I think was the main goal here.

The human skull is one of a complex part of the complete human body, I have sculpted recently many skulls as they kept improving my sculpting skills step by step, here is just a preview of just a base skull sculpted in Z-Brush quickly , to add all the Face muscles one by one on top of it.

I had been busy lately improving on my drawing skills with only just pencils and papers.I mean I was really sucked in drawing on pencil and paper.So, I thought it’s already late to improve but I should start using some traditional media which are the backbone of digital media arts .

So, currently I am sketching some creatures and stuff on pencil and paper only,which I will scan them later and paint them in Photoshop to visualize them in a more sophisticated way or may be sculpt them in Z-Brush,but for now it’s only pencil and paper for sometime.I bought some charcoal pencils too , to see how they react on the surface and was very happy with result I got for using it on the creature..You can see a tone difference of gray and black in the creature I had drawn..Some charcoal was used on that sketch.
